The Future Is Better Than You Think

In the new book Abundance: The Future Is Better Than You Think, space entrepreneur turned innovation pioneer Peter H. Diamandis and award-winning science writer Steven Kotler document how progress in artificial intelligence, robotics, infinite computing, ubiquitous broadband networks, digital manufacturing, nanomaterials, synthetic biology, and many other exponentially growing technologies will enable us to make greater gains in the next two decades than we have in the previous two hundred years.

I agree with what he mention about Abundance; the problem about human beings, many good things exist, and the same time, very dangers too. The dangers I do not think could be resolved; because we can’t skip the thoughts of hate, at the same time the greed for money keep increase, without worry about consequences of our future. Globe worming keeps increase and fast; the point catastrophes appeared bigger every year, to the point could be too late to correct the problem. Also weapons of mass destruction keep increase too; like not long ago only a few countries have had Nukes, and not many and not so strong ones. Now more countries having; and small ones, such Israel with USA help, having more the two hundred. A country so small with countries not so sophisticated seems like want to destroy them all. I think technology keep be more for the bad than for the good. Human could be smarter; by trying avoided weapons of mass destruction and try colonized some planets, to avoid the extinction of Mankind. I believed nothing its forever; and evolution keeps moving, of transformation of matter. A.Oscar

  3. Mr. Diamandis,

Your points are quite well taken and you are not the only one along with your
colleagues to project Utopia for this planet. Jesus, Emerson, Napoleon Hill, etc.,
Wealth is being achieved at an enormous rate by young people, however the
vast majority of wealth, personal power, and affluence is possessed by less than
10% of the population. If what you propose can as Napoleon Hill contended, get
people to realize the power of their unconscious minds what you are proposing is
quite possible indeed. But remember those in positions of leadership have set
the world economy on course for a great depression, world conflict, and through
neglect of educational innovation mindless violence and hate in which innocent
victims are being murdered around the clock particularly in inner cities. Let us
also recall the mass murderers from the temples of ‘american suburbia’ one of
whom was a PhD student in neuro-science (how the brain works!) adorned in full
military combat dress stalk and execute patrons in a movie theater with field
grade weapons! Many other such events have been increasing at an alarming
rate. A native in Mali or any other such similar location is not necessarily helped
to advance in this world when his environment remains ensconced in tribalism
    unchanged after thousands of years!

Who can argue against progress and abundance and the ideal world. Yet what can
augur for its realization when as Adolph Hitler so well expressed “the people don’t
    think!”?
